Author Event: Pressing Matters by Alan Ramey
About this Event
Join us for a special event with Alan Ramer, author of Pressing Matters. This event is free, but we appreciate your RSVP below so we can plan for your attendance.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Pressing Matters covers the big debates of wine - all the issues that winemakers and sommeliers tend to disagree on. The book addresses the causal factors of terroir, organic and biodynamic farming, old world vs. new world regional rules, how significant the impact of climate change is on wine typicity, how to define wine quality and determine the value of wine as well as the definitional questions and pros and cons of naturalness in wine. The result of exhaustive literature reviews and around a hundred interviews, it is a novel angle through which to approach wine, ensuring that polar opposite points of view are heard out.
