About this Event
Join us as for a night of mythology mayhem—of the best kind!—as we celebrate the launch of one of our most anticipated middle-grade titles of the year: Katherine Marsh’s , the second in her “Myth of Monsters” series about a group of kids who attend a secret school for descendants of Greek monsters. (The first title, , was a runaway bestseller for us last year, our Camp Bookworm pick, and beloved by our customers aged 8-13.) Katherine will be at the shop, in conversation with Kenny Curtis and Jillian Hughes, the father-and-daughter team behind National Geographic Kids’ wildly popular podcast and books, as they talk about the increasing draw of mythology retellings for young audiences—and give us the inside scoop about their books. Following the conversation, they will take questions from the audience and stay to sign copies of their books.

About The Gods’ Revenge:
Ava Baldwin is ready for her second year at the Accademia del Forte. Now that she knows that her fellow classmates, descendants of the so-called Greek monsters, have been lied to by the Olympians, she’s ready to help them uncover their ancestors’ true stories—if only she can stay out of the way of the new headmaster, Perseus.
But laying low is easier said than done, especially when Perseus seems intent on trolling Ava, making it impossible to control her anger.
When Perseus banishes one of her friends, Ava must lead a rescue party on a whirlwind adventure from the Stygian Marsh of the underworld to the ice caves of Mount Etna with Ares and the spirits of violent death in hot pursuit. But the gods won’t be tricked so easily this time . . .
