About this Event
A genre-bending novel for our time, Paranoid Storytelling chronicles the disappearance of Dr. Rala Veruza, a brilliant researcher studying the poisonous effects of conspiracy theories, and the ways in which the reporter covering her disappearance becomes more and more convinced that she holds the key to diagnosing America’s demented culture.

Judson Merrill grew up in Maine, studied literature and writing at Brown University, and received his MFA from Brooklyn College, where he also taught writing for several years. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Iowa Review, Chicago Review, The Massachusetts Review, The Southampton Review, Unstuck, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, and other publications. He has been an Artist in Residence at Millay Colony, Ox-Bow, Lighthouse Works, and Guild Hall.
Mark Hurst is the host of Techtonic on WFMU. Mark is a longtime tech veteran. He began Techtonic in 2017 after becoming disillusioned with tech industry’s descent into exploiting, rather than serving, its users. Mark holds a masters degree in computer science from MIT and has spent his career writing, speaking, and advising teams about how to create technology that serves people better.
