Author Talk and Signing with bestselling author Curtis Sittenfeld.
We're thrilled to welcome Curtis Sittenfeld, the acclaimed author of Prep, Rodham, Romantic Comedy, and her newest release Show, Don't Tell, to our nonprofit bookstore and event space in Boston's South End for a special Meet the Author event on Sunday, September 28th.
Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering her work for the first time, this is a rare opportunity to hear Curtis speak about her writing process, inspirations, and the stories behind her bestselling novels.
About Curtis:
Curtis Sittenfeld is the New York Times bestselling author of seven novels, including Prep, American Wife, Eligible, Rodham, and Romantic Comedy, as well as the acclaimed short story collections You Think It, I’ll Say It and Show Don’t Tell (2025). Her work - praised for its wit, emotional insight, and sharp social observation - has been translated into thirty languages and appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and The Best American Short Stories. She holds degrees from Stanford and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and lives in Minneapolis with her family.

We support Greater Boston’s most vulnerable young adults—including those in foster care, court-involved, experiencing homelessness, or out of school—by providing paid jobs, essential skills training, and personalized support to stay in school and plan for their future. Youth earn a paid job in our bookstores and online resale business as a part of our hands-on job-training program while receiving wrap-around supports to achieve stability, earn credentials and advance to a self-sustaining career.
