Join us for an evening of creativity and inspiration with artist and educator Rabbi Adina Allen, author of The Place of All Possibility!
Art Workshop & Book Talk (author participating via Zoom)
5:30 PM - Start with a 90-minute virtual Jewish Studio Project art workshop, led by Rabbi Adina Allen, exploring creative expression through the wisdom of Torah. All welcome-- you do not need to consider yourself an “artist” to attend this workshop! This will be an opportunity to experience the power of creativity, with basic art materials provided at the JCA.
7:30 PM - Stay for Rabbi Allen’s virtual author talk on The Place of All Possibility, a transformative guidebook blending spiritual teachings with art therapy and research on creativity.
Ticket options:
Workshop, dinner and book bundle: $40/$32 members. The best deal! Come to the JCA for a 90-minute art workshop with Rabbi Adina Allen, followed by her author talk. Attendees enjoy a dinner together at the JCA, art supplies and a complimentary copy of A Place of All Possibility. The JCA will provide some simple art supplies (paper, markers, colored pencils, pens), but participants are also welcome to bring their own supplies, if preferred.
Virtual JSP Workshop and author talk: $30/$24 members. Receive two Zoom links to remotely participate in the art workshop facilitated by Rabbi Allen, and the author talk.
Virtual author talk only: Free. Receive the Zoom link for the author talk, but not the workshop.
The Place of All Possibility is a paradigm-shifting work that reframes the whole of Torah as a contemporary guidebook for creativity. Drawing from the deep well of Jewish sacred texts, and the radical interpretive strategies of ancient rabbis, The Place of All Possibility provides teachings and tools for those who seek to employ creativity as a force of transformation. Putting spiritual wisdom in conversation with contemporary disciplines of art therapy, liberation theology, and creativity research, this essential book invites us all to rediscover our place in a world of mutual thriving. Packed with practical exercises to inspire your creative practice, The Place of All Possibility is for all people—from any tradition or none—who want to seed a world of imagination, abundance, and joy.
Rabbi Adina Allen is cofounder and creative director of Jewish Studio Project (JSP), an organization that is seeding a future in which every person is connected to their creativity. Adina developed the Jewish Studio Process methodology, which she has brought to thousands of activists, educators, artists, and clergy. A national media contributor, popular speaker, and workshop leader, Adina’s writing can be found in scholarly as well as mainstream publications. She lives with her family in Berkeley, California.
