About this Event
When it comes to the bomb, what we don't know could K*ll us. American Nuclear Deception exposes the vital, documented connection between the Manhattan Project and unexplained explosion that destroyed two ships at the Port Chicago Naval Ammunition Depot near San Francisco on July 17, 1944, killing 320 Americans. According to local newspaper coverage, most victims were 'atomized'. The incident remains listed as one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history, and yet the greatest home-front disaster of World War II was immediately, conveniently and permanently upstaged by the mass mutiny trial of "the Port Chicago 50". Daisy B. Herndon, author and concerned American citizen, will discuss fresh evidence of both the Port Chicago disaster and controversial theory of the U.S. government supressing and discrediting facts of the investigation. Herndon will also discuss her investigative journey, including key discoveries and implications, and explain how both the incident and the history of the bomb impacts current nuclear policy. Additionally, she will address why historians reject the controversial theory but also overlook the significant connection between the Port Chicago explosion and the Manhattan Project.
