Join us on Thurs, November 3 in Cebelak Hall as we continue our 2022-23 Authenticum Lecture Series. Dr. Hildebrand will be giving a lecture titled “CREDO IN UNUM DEUM: THE THREE PRINCIPLES THAT ALLOW YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE CATHOLIC FAITH."Dr. Stephen Hildebrand is Dean of the School of Theology and Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He earned his Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Fordham University. Dr. Hildebrand has published articles in Vigiliae Christianae, The American Benedictine Review, and Augustinian Studies, and delivered papers at conferences of the North American Patristics Society. He lives in Steubenville, Ohio with his wife, Sara. Dr. Hildebrand is the author of Basil of Caesarea (Foundations of Theological Exegesis and Christian Spirituality. (Baker Academic, 2014) and The Trinitarian Theology of Basil of Caesarea: A Synthesis of Greek Thought and Biblical Truth (The Catholic University of America Press, 2009); and the translator of St. Basil, On the Holy Spirit (Popular Patristics, St. Vladimir’s Seminary Press, 2011), Basil of Caesarea (Early Church Fathers, Routledge, 2018), and Robert Grosseteste, On the Cessation of the Laws (Fathers of the Church Medieval Continuation, The Catholic University of America Press, 2012).
