Authentic Swiss Raclette Dinner

Summer isn't even here yet, but already we've had several customers ask about our next season of Swiss Raclette Dinners. Well, we've listened and are pleased to announce the first of what will be 8 different evenings to be held in October and November. These dinners are, undoubtedly, one of the most fun events we do during the year, and not just for attendees, but for Anita - the store's Swiss owner - as well.

Not familiar with Raclette? Basically, these meals are based around the Swiss cheese of the same name. This is a casual dining experience spread out over the course of two hours featuring a wide range of foods, many of which are prepare tableside. Along with all the delicious food, guests will enjoy unlimited pours of a variety of red and white wines. Our advice to attendees: COME HUNGRY! This is a true feast of food, flavor, and chatting with your fellow event attendees all enjoyed at a leisurely pace.

Never attended a dinner before and not sure what to expect? Well, here's your chance to get in on the food and fun before the hustle and bustle of the holidays begin. When attendees arrive, they'll be handed a glass of sparkling wine that be drank as is or with your choice of Vom Fass liqueur (we recommend: Creme de Cassis, Sour Cherry Vodka, Elderflower, or Lemoncello just to name a few). Once every arrives and is seated, out comes the first course of salad with a Vom Fass vinaigrette and Anita's braided Swiss bread. Once the salad plates are cleared, the real fun begins as each table begins to cook steak strips, various meats, and mushrooms on the Raclette grill in the center of each table. As the meats cook, load up a thick slice of Raclette cheese with your favorite toppings (ham, bacon, onions, and much more!) and set it to melt on the broiler underneath the Raclette grill. During this time, our staff will be coming around with potatoes, bread, more cheese, and of course, more wine, too! Eat as much as you'd like, we've got more! Once guests are completely stuffed, we bring out dessert. And as a final act to send you home and off to bed - a big shot of Kirsch cherry brandy to the sound of a hearty Prost!

Please keep in mind these events do sell out and sell out quickly. Sometimes in as little as 24 hours. Each event can hold 24 guests (3 tables of 8 people) and you can sign up so as many seats as you need (you can reserve a whole table or just reserve seat by seat as needed). Tickets for this all you can eat and drink dining experience are $80/person (gratuity not included).
