Authentic Relating with Dr. Hazel-Grace Yates on May 2nd

Please join us for an evening of Authentic Relating with Dr. Hazel-Grace Yates on May 2nd! This is an engaging in-person event at the Nevada County Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City, CA. Dr. Hazel-Grates Yates will guide us through powerful exercises to deepen connections and enhance communication skills with peers.

Authentic Relating (AR) is a practice of connecting with one another through guided games and exercises. The magical power of AR allows you to go from strangers to meaningful connection within minutes. The games can range from heartfelt vulnerability to down right silly. You will walk away feeling connecting to people, some fun games and tools for you to create meaninful connections within minutes of meeting someone.

Exchange: $10-$30 (Sliding Scale). There are 3 ticket options. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Proceeds go towards Nevada County Pride.

Your Facilitators:

Dr. Hazel-Grace Yates (they/them) has been facilitating Authentic Relating and Circling for 9 years. Through their compassion, playful and dynamic facilitation, they are endlessly passionate about humans experiencing deeply meaningful relationships. With more than 13 years experience as an evolutionary educator, they bring a unique blend of professional know-how, curiosity, authentic communication and personal vulnerability to their practice. Julian Rosenberg (he/him) has been facilitating Authentic Relating games & circling for 10 years. He views human relationships as a spiritual path, & authentic relating as a practice for deepening our ability to connect to others while learning more about ourselves. Julian is passionate about creating space that is devoted to intentional intimacy that nourishes & satiates peoples longing to feel belonging, connected, & seen. He loves experiencing & witnessing the massive growth that comes from learning to be honest with ourselves & others about what we are ACTUALLY feeling. Julian also helped found the Authentic Relating center in Austin, TX, was certified as a head facilitator there in 2014, & was a founding member of the Connect Humanity nonprofit.

Compasha Mama (she/her), Angel of Radical Compassion, is a Ceremonial Leader & Emotional Energy Practitioner. Her highly attuned, empathic presence is as gentle as a feather yet as powerful as lightning.
