Authentic Networking & Business Gifting Circle: The Gift of Love

This is a networking opportunity you won't want to miss!!!!

Would you like to walk away with a free gift… and to give a service of your own? This is an opportunity to give both you and your work more exposure - while giving to someone else in the community as well. And you'll also get a wonderful gift from someone else present, too.

Here's how it works:

5:30-6:30pm: Authentic Networking. In this workshop, 26-year workshop leader and public speaking coach Jonathan Bender will lead you through fun, down to earth exercises to connect more deeply with other professionals. You will make lasting connections that may turn into friends, collaborators, referral partners or clients. Food is available for purchase to show our support for a Local Business Owner.

6:30pm: we start our Gifting Event. This is what it looks like:

Decide in advance on one "offering" that will be taken up by one person present. This should be a service or product that you regularly provide for clientele, which holds real value. For example, it may be a 60 or 90-minute session or other other service, or a product that you sell. Actual value may very roughly range from $75 to $500 (depending on your regular rates and fees). Note: it cannot be just a free consultation, nor a discount off a service: please offer in full a real service or a product, that will go to one person present - you only need provide one. Generosity encouraged, so that all receive something wonderful.

Each person talks about their work to the group for 1 minute, including describing their offering during that time. If others present have experienced your work, two extremely brief testimonials are then allowed. As others talk, take notes on what interests you, to look at what you'd like to win!

Everyone draws a number. We then return to the circle and you get to choose whose offering you'd like, going in numerical order (if you drew #5, you go 5th, etc.). No trading allowed, until afterward.

More connection time, after all gifts are chosen (trading now allowed). And, follow up with others whose work sounds great, and with those who were interested in your work, too - which may lead to new clientele for you!

Exchange contact info with your recipient (and your gift-giver) and arrange a time to provide the service or product to the person who received your gift (just one person - you won't be giving away many sessions that will impinge upon your time).
