With no offence to any of the other styles and genres across the festival, we'll say right off the bat that documentary is one of our favourite forms (well at least that's what the Festival Director says - and what he says goes). That's why we're enormously proud to bring these lovely and poetic works to the big screen this year.
This program is filled with real surprises with several of the works pushing the form to the very limit in anyone's terms as they explore visual style, personal relationships, narrative structures and those tiny moments that resonate as sometimes profound statements.
All very, very lovely pieces. As a collection though, wow!
