English Synopsis

Burdened with debt, Chinese chef Xu Fu travels to the Middle East to work at Dragon Restaurant, hoping to earn enough to pay off his loans. Navigating the brutal survival rules of a war-torn city, he compromises and adapts just to get by — until the surrounding war engulfs everything he knows. At last, he makes the life-threatening choice to help refugee children escape the combat zone. Framed through the microcosm of a humble Chinese eatery, the film contrasts the warmth of home cooking with the cruelty of war, exploring ordinary humanity and quiet kindness amid catastrophe.
