Learn how to paint a beautiful Bush Stone-curlew with experienced artist and tutor Lesley Wallington!Date: 2 June 2024
Days/Times: Sunday 9.30am - 4.30pm
Venue: Queensland Museum, Grey Street, Brisbane.
About the workshop:
The Bush Stone-curlew is a nocturnal, ground-dwelling bird, unlike any other in Australia. With its large yellow eyes, prominent white eyebrows and ghost-like call it can be heard and seen throughout Australia, often in the urban environment.
In this day workshop we will get to know the character and features of the Bush Stone-curlew by practicing quick sketches before building up to a detailed drawing. Colour mixing and basic watercolour techniques will be demonstrated as we work
towards a completed Bush Stone-curlew painting by the end of the day.
