Anarchy Slam is Austin Poetry Slam’s anything-goes poetry competition—and this time, the only thing standing between you and complete poetic mayhem is 3 minutes and 10 seconds.

Want to bring a prop? Pack your trunk.
Want to bring an animal? Unleash the beast.
Want music? Bring the whole damn band.
Want to perform someone else’s poem? If you didn’t write it, we don’t care—just perform it better.

This is your chance to throw the standard slam rulebook out the window and see what happens when poets are given permission to get weird, theatrical, ridiculous, brilliant, or all of the above.

Hosted by the incomparable Mr. Dave, Anarchy Slam promises big performances, questionable decisions, and exactly the kind of beautiful chaos you’d expect when Austin poets are given absolutely no supervision.
