Austin Movie Tour: Downtown

Walk through the streets of downtown Austin where some of your favorite movies were filmed and learn fascinating trivia about Austin's film industry and history.

​We cover movies from the 1980s-2023 including: the Spy Kids series, Miss Congeniality, Alita Battle Angel, Sin City, Machete, Temple Grandin, Blood Simple, Boyhood, Chef, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and more!

See films with well known actors such as Matthew McConaughey, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan, Clint Eastwood, and more!

Tour Details:

• Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours
• Route Length: about 3 miles, mostly flat city terrain
• Start & End Point: The Texas Capitol at the front main gate (outside the capitol grounds). This is on 11th street facing Congress Avenue. Look for the guide with the red umbrella.
• Parking: Options will be provided before the tour. Prices range from $0-$20 depending on the day, time, and how long you leave your car there. I will also send information about bus and bike routes.

What to Bring:

• Please bring water!
• Comfortable walking shoes.
• Sunscreen, a hat, and/or an umbrella.

Weather: Severe thunderstorms can lead to tour cancellation. We will let you know as soon as possible if a tour is cancelled and work to get you rebooked or refunded as per our refund policy.

Refund Policy: Cancellations are allowed up to 48 hours before your tour for a refund less service fees or as a voucher for a future booking of equal price. If we cancel for any reason (such as weather) you will receive a refund less service fees.
