About this Event
Join us for a Black History Month celebration with Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois! Youth in grades K–12 and their families are invited to enjoy a welcoming, fun, and educational experience featuring hands-on activities connected to our Black History Multicultural Patch. Participants will complete activities that count toward earning the patch; however, patches will not be sold at the event. All are encouraged to participate—Girl Scout membership is not required.
This event is led by the Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois Belonging Engaging Black Families Task Force in partnership with community leaders and is designed to encourage education, elevating, and celebration. This event is open to community youth.
Registration is required for this event is open-house, drop-in style, with two available time slots to help accommodate family schedules and room capacity. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Time for activity sessions are 5:30 - 6:30 pm and 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Please register for the ticket and time that works best for your family. While this is not a drop-off event, families are welcome to come and go during their selected time.
