Thanks-Giving Square and AURORA present a site-specific sound bath experience led by Jess Garland of Swan Strings. Jess is a Dallas-based multidisciplinary artist, harpist, and musician whose practice invites audiences to engage with sound, vibration, and presence. Within Thanks-Giving Hall, participants are invited to settle into stillness and experience a shared moment of reflection, connection, and collective presence.

Drawing from her practice of experimental harp, layered soundscapes, improvisation, and sound therapy, Garland will transform the Hall into a space for deep listening—where the architecture, the resonance of the harp, and the natural acoustics of the room become part of the artwork. Her work explores the relationship between sound, healing, and transformation, inviting us to slow down, listen inward, and connect with one another through a shared experience that moves between the intimate and the collective.

Set within Thanks-Giving Hall, an intimate space within the Thanks-Giving Square complex designed by Philip Johnson, this experience invites participants to settle into the space and immerse themselves in sound, vibration, and stillness. Through a shared sonic experience, the gathering creates space for reflection, connection, and collective presence, centering gratitude, humanity, and our shared experience.

We invite you to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and anything else that will help you to feel relaxed and comfortable during this experience.
