Aurora & Antheia, Katt Holiday, and Julia Rose Statzer come together for a gathering rooted in reflection, resistance, and the raw texture of the lived human experience. Blending chamber-inspired music, songwriting, and spoken word, this collaboration centers stories and songs that speak honestly to grief, justice, anger, love, and the ongoing work of choosing peace in a complicated world.
Julia Rose Statzer weaves language as invocation and witness, while Aurora & Antheia offer musical landscapes that hold and respond to the words—sometimes gently, sometimes with urgency. The performance moves between solo moments and shared creation, guided by deep listening, improvisation, and presence.
Born in England to an American military family, Katt Holiday brings to the stage a wealth of influences as varied as the places they have lived. Performing since they were 14, Katt has shared stages with indie legends like Dex Romweber, Wayne Hancock, Reverend Peyton, Jason Ringenberg, and members of Gogol Bordello & The Legendary Shack Shakers.
After years touring in multiple bands playing various styles - from Americana, Zydeco, and rockabilly to experimental electronic and psych rock - Katt released their first proper full-length solo album in 2024 (the alt-folk tinged DESIREPATH, on El Gran E Records). The record's sparse configuration mirrors Katt's live show - displaying a musical style that bridges the gaps between folk traditions, modern eclecticism, and the energetic "lay it all out there" attitude of punk rock - tied together with biting social commentary and a sardonic sense of humor.
Aurora & Antheia is a trio dedicated to cultivating the beauty of melody, rhythm, texture, and in-the-moment improvisation. Their work creates immersive soundscapes that invite peace, transcendence, self-reflection, and love. Formed in the fall of 2023, the ensemble originally came together to compose and perform a full-length work for Wellspring/Cori Terry & Dancers in Kalamazoo, Michigan (May 2024). Since then, they have expanded into concert venues across Michigan and beyond, developing new artistic partnerships and multidisciplinary collaborations.
Their most recent project, Threading Moonbows, was presented in collaboration with Happendance Dance Company and poet Lisa Sarno in November 2025. Aurora & Antheia released their debut full-length recording, Sonic Intimacy, in April 2025. The album is available through Goldenrod Music and Bandcamp, and can be streamed on Apple Music, Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, and additional platforms.
The ensemble features violinist Cori Beth Somers, cellist and multi-instrumentalist Laurie Jarski, and percussionist Carolyn Koebel. Together, they bring over a century of collective musical experience, performing both as a trio and in countless ensembles over the past 15 years.
