AUMC's Christmas Cantata Featuring the Colorado Premiere of Taylor Scott Davis’ Magnificat

On December 13th at 7:00 pm, The Cantata Choir of Arvada United Methodist Church will present a Christmas Cantata featuring the Colorado Premiere of Taylor Scott Davis’ Magnificat. Never heard before in Colorado, this new setting of the Magnificat text by Davis showcases the beauty and hope of Mary’s words as she learns she is carrying the Christ-child while bringing to life her words of strength and justice. Featuring the Arvda UMC Cantata Choir and Orchestra, the concert will also showcase music by Kyle Pederson, Tom Fettke, Lloyd Larson, and Mark A. Miller in familiar and new Christmas Carols. It will also feature a Carol Sing-along for the audience.
The performance is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be accepted.
