Where art meets imagination in the narrative operating room.
🩺 A Night of Storytelling, Spectacle & Surreal Diagnosis
This August, Storytellers Canvas scrubs in for its most delightfully strange edition yet. Enter the narrative operating room, where stories are the patients and imagination is the cure. Presenting: Diagnosis D’Arte, an evening of expressive exploration and whimsical analysis under the watchful eye of Dr. Gerry Fralick—the world’s only dual-certified medical doctor and PhD in Narratology (or so we’ve been told).
Each storyteller will take the stage to share a 7-minute narrative—be it poem, song, or surreal spoken word. Then, from behind his retro spectacles and vintage syringe (yes, there will be props), Dr. Fralick will deliver a live “diagnosis”—a poetic, playful prescription for what your story needs to reach its full, dramatic health.
🔬 Overwrought plot? Swollen metaphor? Narrative fatigue? He sees it all. And he’s got just the remedy.
🎭 Audience Favorites: The Doctor Isn’t the Only One Taking Notes
After each act, the audience will vote for the narrative that struck the deepest chord—or the funniest nerve. One favorite from Act I, and one from Act II, will be awarded a cured & crowned honor.

Dress Code: Optional, but delightful—medical surrealism, vintage academia, art-clinic chic
