Join us on Saturday, August 24th from 10:30am-12:30pm for a Rainbow Play Date at Duke Park in Durham!We know things have been hard for so many LGBTQIA+ families over the past several months. We've had some difficulty scheduling Rainbow Play Dates but we want to get back into a regular groove. Rainbow Play Dates are open to all families who identify as LGBTQIA+/Queer. This can include (but is not limited to) LGBTQ and gender expansive parents/caregivers, LGBTQIA+ and gender expansive kiddos, LGBTQIA+ and gender expansive grandparents, ancles, cousins, etc.
We will bring coffee for caregivers at 10am. We have some fun Back to School giveaways for school age children to hopefully bring a little "rainbow" to their school day. We'll bring fixings for sandwiches for lunch that we'll bring out at noon. We invite you to bring a side to share with other families.
Accessibility Note: Duke Park has accessible parking on Knox St and a paved path to the picnic area. There is not, however, a super accessible playground. We'll have other activities like chalk, bubbles, and art supplies for families not utilizing the playground.
