Welcome to the August Good Grief! Group Meetup.

SUGGESTED ATTIRE: Wear athletic gear for the exercise portion of group and bring water
The intention of this group is to bring together community members for healing around collective grief. Whatever your grief is - whether you've lost a loved one, lost community, feel lost in your family or friend network, have lost a job, are navigating other major life change, or simply feel called to join us - there is space for you here.
Our structure is:
45 minutes of conversation centered around grief, followed by 45 minutes of accessible exercise and breathwork so our nervous systems have a chance to reset.
Who this is for:
You. Period. If you're reading this and feel called to join us, please do. We're removing the barriers of belonging and invite you to be there with us.
Why we created this group:
Kevin (owner of Clipper City CrossFit) initially formed this group after losing his wife, Angie, to cancer in November 2021. This group was created as a means to find a meaningful way to connect with others through his grief.
Jess, a yoga teacher and mobility specialist, lost her brother, Jeff by way of suicide in July 2023. She and Kevin bonded over loss and healing through exercise, which led to their friendship and the renewal of this group.
Where this is going:
In short time, Good Grief! Group will be part of a larger nonprofit effort. We are pairing deep healing with exercise in order to enable folx to find strength in community, strength in body, and strength within as they touch the most tender parts of themselves.
