Join us at Emmanuel Mennonite Church next Tuesday for our first in-person membership meeting since April. It promises to be an informative event to kick off our Autumn of activism! At this meeting, we will:Hear from staff and elected leaders from the City of Gainesville and Alachua County about the city's Renters' Rights Ordinance and the proposed county ordinance. The audience is encouraged to participate in this important dialogue during the Q&A immediately following the speaker presentations.
Learn about an exciting new push to get a constitutional amendment expanding Medicaid on the 2024 ballot. Plus, we will hear about a Medicare for All resolution we plan to introduce at the City of Gainesville to keep the fight for single-payer alive.
Hear updates on the work of the ACLC's Criminal Justice Transformation Committee.
