other Sunday, 6-8 pm, in a relaxed group setting. Other meetups are scheduled for Sept 13th, Sept 27th, and Oct 11th.
Nova Nicole (@tenderslug) will be guiding the group with:
-How to design for relief printing, with a focus on contrast through positive and negative space
=Experiencing with different transfer methods
-Learning carving techniques (and how to avoid carving up your thumb)
There are enough basic supplies to get started from Speedball for 7 participants and room for 2 more participants with their own supplies. Each participant will get a small linoleum block (2”x4”) with an option to purchase more at the meetup. We will meet up in the pavilion and keep it small, where everyone has room to spread out and get one-on-one help when they need it. Make sure to rsvp and let us know if you’re bringing your own supplies.
Suggested donation is $15, but pay what you can. No one will be turned down.
Come make prints, make friends, and discover a new creative obsession. You'll leave with your own hand-carved stamp(s), a stack of prints, the skills to keep making at home, and hopefully a newfound love for relief printmaking.
What the Heck do you need to know?
The meetup will take place outdoors under the pavilion. Rain or shine. The pavilion stays dry in the heavy downpours. Fans and bug deterrent are available.
The Suggested donation is $15. 60% of the proceeds will go to Nova and 40% to Heck.house. You may pay online at www.heck.house/donate (make a note that it's for the linocut) or pay in-person at the meetup.

We provide snacks and drinks. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Alcoholic drinks are allowed.

Who the Heck is Nova Nicole?
Nova Nicole is a multimedia artist originally from Florida, now putting down roots in the Metro Atlanta area. They are driven by a desire to foster community, create spaces where people can connect, experiment, and make something meaningful (or silly) together.
