Join us at Nitehawk Cinema Prospect Park for the Opening Night of the 2026 Queer Voices NYC Film Festival with a special presentation of Audre Lorde: A Litany for Survival, directed by Ada Gay Griffin and Michelle Parkerson. Newly restored by Third World Newsreel, this landmark documentary celebrates the extraordinary life, work, and enduring legacy of visionary Black lesbian poet, writer, and activist Audre Lorde. Through rare archival footage and intimate reflections from those closest to her, the film offers a powerful portrait of one of the most influential voices in literature, culture, and the fight for social justice.
Following the screening, stay for a special post-film conversation. The discussion will offer audiences a deeper look at the film’s creation and recent restoration, Audre Lorde’s enduring cultural impact, and the continued relevance of her work today, followed by an opportunity for audience questions.
