EVENT DESCRIPTION
This masterclass is designed for actors who want to improve their on-camera auditioning skills. Taught by industry professionals, including Acting Coach / Actor Krista Lively Stauffer and Casting Director / Actor Johanna McGinley, participants will learn essential techniques to enhance their self-tapes, understand what casting directors are looking for, and develop compelling, three-dimensional characters. Whether you're new to auditioning or looking to refine your skills, this workshop provides valuable insights and practical experience.
BIOS
Krista Lively Stauffer, an Otterbein Theatre graduate, is an Actor / Coach / Director / Producer / Casting Director / Podcaster and probably should take a vacation. She has performed professionally with Short North Stage, CATCO, Available Light Theatre, CCT, as well as in several films, commercials, and industrials. She is represented by The Talent Group in Pittsburgh. Krista teaches privately in her studio for all ages of actors on stage and screen. Up next, she will be onstage with Opera Columbus in "The Threepenny Opera", as well as traveling the nation with "What I Didn't Say (The Parkinson's Play)".
Johanna McGinley, a graduate of the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA), is a versatile actor, coach, casting director, and assistant director. Her acting credits include *Chicago PD*, *Rustin*, and *They/Them/Us*, among other film and television projects. After years of working in an agency and assisting casting directors, Johanna launched her own casting company, Mime Wolf Inn Casting, in January 2024. She has since cast projects like the "Yes, Columbus" commercial campaign and the Ohio-based feature film *Blood & Rust*. Drawing from her extensive industry experience, she now coaches aspiring actors, helping them develop their craft.
