?♀️?AUDITIONS for Working — A Musical???All roles are open and non-paying.
The cast will be an ensemble of between 9 and 12 performers, all of whom will play multiple roles, and need to work as a true ensemble.

To be cast in this show, auditioners must provide proof of COVID vaccination, at the auditions. Please come prepared with this proof - prefer 2024 booster.
Please prepare two 16 bar selections, showcasing vocal ability and different styles/characterizations: the director wants to see realistic acting range.
You must bring prepared and accurately marked sheet music for the pianist - you may not sing a capella. (If in a book or score, please make a clean paper copy easily legible for the pianist).
You will also be asked to cold read one of several selected monologues provided at the audition (this can be your choice). No prepared monologue is needed.
You may be asked to cold read / sing other material.
SHOW SYNOPSIS
Working — the Musical is based on the best-selling Studs Terkel book of the 1970's which was one of the first to openly explore people's feelings about their jobs, their careers and their lives. The book is a series of interviews which explore a multitude of American Work experiences - and from this, a musical was born.
The show is a series of songs and monologues, all relating to individual jobs and the effect work has on the lives of these workers. The intention of the show is to focus on workers' perspectives, pride, dreams, desire to be productive and give their work lives meaning - which will be the focus of this production.
