Auditions
The Long and Short of it, 2026.
One act, or short, plays. A joint production with Yeppoon Little Theatre.
Season Dates:
Rockhampton Little Theatre venue, Walter Reid Cultural Centre, corner Derby and East Streets, Rockhampton. Bump in Saturday 21 February 2026. Rehearsals during the week to be determined. Evening performances on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th followed by a matinee performance on Sunday 1st March.
Yeppoon Little Theatre venue, 64 William Street, Yeppoon. Bump in and rehearsals during the week to be determined. Evening performances on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th followed by a matinee performance on Sunday 8th March.
RLT Plays:
A Couple Of Days by Anne Galvin. Directed by Anne Galvin. Kit and Wayne are a middle aged couple who have just become empty nesters. Kit’s mother Eileen arrives to disturb their new found peace. The play is set in Victoria in March 2020 (yep, it’s a Covid play).
Seconds Out by Tony Moore. Directed by Grace Fitzgerald with support by Tony Moore. Ben and Jenny are having a few marital issues. This is marriage according to the Marquis of Queensbury rules, like a boxing match. There is a referee and a commentator, both are high energy, and they do interact with the couple.
Out Of The Flying Pan by David Campton. Directed by Mark Roberts. A classic piece of absurdist theatre for at least two performers. They appear to talk a lot of nonsense but actually aren’t. The dialogue is a mixture of spoonerisms and malapropisms.
