Open auditions for The Cat in the Hat, our annual theater for young audiences production, will take place on:Thursday, December 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, December 8 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
We will have callbacks immediately after the second set of auditions, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 8, so if you are planning to come on that date, please leave your late afternoon open!
The Cat in the Hat is a play (not a musical). The story is told predominantly through movement, making this a great opportunity for performers who excel at physical storytelling.
Auditioners will be asked to tell a story or joke, and will then take part in a variety of movement games.
This show includes daytime performances for school groups, so cast members will need to be able to do morning and early afternoon performances on four or five weekdays in mid-March, in addition to our public performances the weekend of March 14-16.
The Cat in the Hat will be directed by Sarah Nowak.
