WHAT TO PREPARE:
16 - 32 Bars of a song NOT from Next to Normal with sheet music or track (mp3 please) - accompanist will be provided
Please have a prepared 1 minute monologue (dramatic or comedic)
OR be prepared to cold read one we give you at auditions

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:
Diana Goodman: A suburban mother in her 30s-40s struggling with bipolar disorder and hallucinations.
Dan Goodman: Diana's husband. A loyal, hardworking, but emotionally exhausted man. 30s/40s
*Gabe: Diana and Dan's son, appearing as a teenager. He is a persistent presence.
*Natalie Goodman: Diana and Dan's teenage daughter. An accomplished pianist trying to be perfect, suffering from neglect.
*Henry: A supportive 17-year-old musician and student who becomes Natalie's boyfriend.
**Dr. Madden / Dr. Fine: Diana's psychiatrist/psychopharmacologist who she sometimes perceives as a "rock star".

*We are asking for 18 to look younger for these roles but we will discuss with the parents and the interested party anyone under 18.
**We will consider anyone for the role of the doctor (all genders welcome)
PLEASE NOTE:
The only request we have for submitting parties is that you are within the age range listed above. All genders and ethnicites are welcome.

PERFORMANCE DATES:
July 9, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19 and please reserve July 24, 25, 26 in case we decide to add performances. Thank you.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Rehearsals begin Early May
Tues/Wed/Thurs Evenings
Saturdays 10am - 1pm
ACTORS will be schedule on these dates and times based on their availability.
