Fading stage stars George and Charlotte Hay are clinging to one last shot at glory while performing repertory in Buffalo, New York. When they learn that famed director Frank Capra may be in the audience, it could be their big Hollywood break – if their crumbling marriage, oversized egos, and a cascade of comic disasters don’t derail everything first.
Packed with mistaken identities, romantic mix-ups, and nonstop backstage mayhem, this high-energy comedic farce is a love letter to the beautiful madness of the theatre.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, including monologues and partner scenes. Auditioners may be asked to stay beyond their allotted half hour time if available.
