Auditions: Misery

Successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon is rescued from a car crash by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes. When he wakes up captive in her secluded home, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it... and it does.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. You may pre-register for an audition slot to receive access to additional audition information, including audition sides (scenes). Familiarizing yourself with the audition material is recommended, though memorization is not required.

Check-ins for registered and walk-in auditioners are accepted at 7:30pm.

Beginners are welcome! Pumphouse Players does not require any previous experience for you to audition for any of our productions.

Pumphouse Players, Inc. is a volunteer-led, non-equity community theatre and does not offer pay or stipends at this time.
