Pandora Productions is holding
Auditions for Little Shop of Horrors
Book and Lyrics by Howard Ashman, Music by Alan Menken
Directed by Gil Reyes
“Drag me to Little Shop! We’re focusing our queer lens on this already campy cult classic musical tale of an unassuming alien life form bent on world domination - played by Louisville’s very own May O’Nays.”
Auditions will be April 28th from 2-5pm
Callbacks will be April 30th from 6-8pm
Additional hours may open up depending on availability and interest
Email [email protected] for an audition slot
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- Pandora Productions is a community theatre with a focus on LGBTQIA+ stories.
- The role of Audrey 2 is cast and will be played by a drag performer.
- This isn’t a traditional production of LSOH. The style and storytelling will incorporate drag aesthetics and embrace queer culture. We hope you find this prospect exciting!
- If you can sing a role, you can be considered for the role. Per our agreement with MTI, the gender of the characters will not change, but the gender, race, and age of the actor is up for consideration. We encourage you to audition for the role that most interests you.
- Actors will receive a $200 stipend.
WHAT YOU SHOULD PREPARE
- 16-32 bars of a song that shows your range. Preferably a musical theatre song that allows you to make character choices. You are welcome to use something from Little Shop of Horrors.
- Please bring a resume that helps us understand your skills, experience, and interests. We are interested in performers with varying levels of experience, so don’t let the length or format of your resume be a deterrent. We just want to get to know you.
- Headshots are not required. If you have an electronic headshot feel free to send it.
- Please bring a list of your known conflicts for June-August 2024. All performers must be available for tech week and shows.
- You may be asked to cold read a scene at auditions or callbacks.
