Casting Call, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”!State Street Theater is putting out a casting call for its 2024 summer musical, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s , Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The performance dates are Friday-Sunday, July 26-28, 2024. Audition Dates are Saturday, May 18 at 11 am OR 12:30 pm, Wednesday, May 22 at 6 pm. If these times do not fit the schedule of anyone interested, do leave your phone number with the theater office at 507-359-9990, or at [email protected] for interest in a potential make-up audition session. Those auditioning need only attend one audition time slot.
Auditions are open to actors of all levels of experience, for anyone ages 10 and above. The cast size includes one male adult role, 17 adult roles of any gender, plus ensemble.
Those interested in auditioning should come to State Street Theater Door #7, arriving five minutes before auditions begin to fill out an audition application. You are asked to park in the lot on the corner of Center and Washington Streets, directly behind the theater.
Individuals who are auditioning will have the choice of singing a song of their choosing which they have prepared, or they will have the option to sing “My Country Tis of Thee” with sheet music provided. All songs will be sung a capella (a capella). Individuals who are auditioning will also take part in a cold read of the script and will learn a short piece of choreography they will perform on the day of auditions.
