Horizon Performing Arts is excited to announce auditions for Legally Blonde The Musical!
DATES: May 12 & 13 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Callbacks will be on May 14 by invitation only.
LOCATION: Dicken Elementary (2135 Runnymede Blvd. Ann Arbor)

Walk-ins are welcome; however, those with an audition time will be seen first.
DETAILS: Auditions will consist of singing and dancing. Please prepare a 32 bar cut of a song in the style of the show. Please bring a backing track, as there will be no accompanist available. We will have a Bluetooth speaker available to play your music. YouTube links are preferred. A short dance combo will be taught at auditions. Please come dressed to move. There will be no readings at auditions.

Callbacks will be held on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. Those needed for callbacks will be notified by email no later than 10 a.m. on May 14. Callbacks will consist of singing and cold reads.
AGE REQUIREMENT: Due to the content of the show, all participants must be at least 18 years old by May 12 in order to audition.
SHOW DATES AND INFORMATION: This production will run July 31 - August 3 at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre at the University of Michigan. All roles are unpaid and listed below. There is no participation fee; however, we do require all participants to become members of Horizon Performing Arts. There is a $50 membership fee for new members ONLY and is valid for one (1) full season. Any participant who has participated in a Horizon show in the 2024-2025 season will NOT pay the membership fee for this production.

AVAILABLE ROLES:
Elle Woods: The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality.
Gender: female
Age: 18 to 25
Emmett Forrest: A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, loveable, and friendly.
Gender: male
Age: 20 to 25
Paulette: A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself.
Gender: female
Age: 35 to 45
Professor Callahan: A pompous, sleezy and manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly successful, but completely immoral.
Gender: male
Age: 45 to 55
Warner Huntington III: A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle's heart and heads off to Harvard Law.
Gender: male
Age: 20 to 25
Vivienne Kensington: A smart, savvy, and uptight law student and Warner's fiancee who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend.
Gender: female
Age: 20 to 25
Brooke Wyndam: An exercise video mogul who is also a former sorority girl. She is energetic and charismatic, yet currently on trial for murder.
Gender: female
Age: 25 to 35
Margot: One of Elle's sorority sisters who later serves as part of a "Greek Chorus" in Elle's mind. She is dimwitted and bubbly.
Gender: female
Age: 18 to 25
Serena: One of Elle's sorority sisters who later serves as part of a "Greek Chorus" in Elle's mind. Captain of UCLA's cheer team.

Age: 18 to 25
Pilar: One of Elle's sorority sisters who later serves as part of a "Greek Chorus" in Elle's mind.

Enid Hoops: Harvard law student, die-hard feminist
