AUDITIONS FOR THE THEATER PEOPLE OF HUXLEY STREET a play by LENNY SCHWARTZ

The Daydream Theatre Company is proud to announce auditions for their fall 2026 play entitled “The Theater People on Huxley Street.” The auditions are August 9, 2026 from 4 pm at Bell Street Chapel, 5 Bell Street, Providence RI. It is most definitely a horror themed play.
The play is written and will be directed by Lenny Schwartz. Readings will be from the script. To receive script materials and an audition time, email Lenny Schwartz at [email protected]. There will be a small stipend for all performers. Show dates are November 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21. Rehearsals will typically be Sunday 4-7pm and Monday and Wednesday nights 7-10pm (flexible if needed)
Synopsis: Aspiring actress Maddy ventures into her new local theater scene. An audition earns her a role with the theater on Huxley Street, but she quickly realizes that they are a santinic coven. Maddy navigates their bizarre practices while trying to solve a mystery as old as time itself.
Cast of Characters:
Maddy- Mid 30s. Strong, with a sense of mystery about her.
Emily- Mid 30s. Catty.
Charlie- Mid 30s. A bit lost but nice.
Karl- Could be any age. A bit evil.
Abigail - older- could be any age Knowledgable.
Robert- 50s-60s wise with a bit of malice
Mom - older 40- 50
Joan- Older- 60s
Selma- could be any age police officer
And of course…FREE COOKIES at Auditions.
