Auditions: Sat., May 11, 2-4 p.m. & Mon., May 13, 2024, 6-8 p.m.
Cast: ages 7-18.

- Mandatory parents’ meeting on 5/16. All registration fee payments are due. Scripts won't be provided until registration fee is paid.
- Rehearsals start on 6/3 and will take place every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday is a work day on sets, costumes, etc. Saturday, 6/15 will be the first set-construction day.

Hello! Thank you for showing interest in the summer youth program here at Parkside Playhouse! Each participant will need to prepare a song no longer than 2 minutes and a short script. A script can be chosen from the list provided or of their own choosing. If a child does not wish to sing or read they must understand that they may not be considered for a speaking or solo role. Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

Tickets: $10, $5 children (12 & under)
