Auditions for Shrek The Musical will take place Sunday, February 19 and Monday February 20 at 7:00 PMHow auditions work:
This is a musical, so everyone is expected to sing. Please be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a song for us. It is preferred that you sing in the style of the show. (ie... Broadway instead of pop, gospel or country.) Please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
There will be a short dance routine taught by the choreographer which all participants will be asked to perform in groups. Please wear clothes and shoes appropriate for dancing.
Finally, we will cold read from the script.
You only need to come to one of the nights of auditions.
If needed, we will hold a call back audition on Tuesday February 21
Show dates are April 21,22,27, 28, 29 and May 4, 5, and 6. The show will be performed OUTSIDE at the Fred B Cranford Amphitheatre in Valdese.
