CHARLOTTE’S OFF-BROADWAY announces OPEN AUDITIONS for SHE KILLS MONSTERS by Qui NguyenSHE KILLS MONSTERS is a comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games! In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
Saturday, February 19, 10 am – 1 pm
Sunday, February 20, 4 pm – 7 pm

Casting 6 women, 4 men, age range 16 – 30

We are actively seeking actors of color for any/all roles; the characters are male- and female-presenting but roles are open to actors of all gender identities. Actors of all racial and ethnic identities, gender identities and abilities/disabilities are encouraged to audition.

Cast requirements (some parts will be doubled):
Agnes Evans – mid 20’s English teacher
Tilly Evans/Tillius the Paladin – Agnes’s younger sister (15/16)
Miles – mid-20’s Agnes’ Boyfriend of 5 years
Vera – mid 20’s high school guidance counselor (also plays The Beholder monster described as a huge eyeball)
Chuck – high school student and Dungeon Master
Orcus – Demon overlord of the underworld
Ronnie – nerdy high school counterpart of Orcus
Lilith – Demon Queen that resembles a leather-clad dominatrix and is Tilly’s girlfriend in the game
Lilly – high school counterpart of Lilith
Kaliope – Dark Elf described as looking like a supermodel
Kelly – high school counterpart of Kaliope, described as beautiful with cerebral palsy
Steve – high school student and adventurer in the game
Narrator – described as speaking like Cate Blanchett in Lord of the Rings
