Thalian Association Community Theatre will hold auditions for the third show of their main stage season, Murder on the Orient Express, December 15 at 7 pm. Auditions will be held at the Community Arts Center, 120 S. 2nd Street in downtown Wilmington. The production, directed by Cat Thomas, runs February 6 through February 15 at Thalian Hall.Auditionees should prepare a 1-minute, contemporary, comedic monologue. The director is interested in BOLD character choices. If you would prefer to read something from the play, preselected sides are available at the front desk of the Community Arts Center.
Audition sign-up will begin November 3rd. PLEASE CALL 910-251-1788 TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT TIME.
Callbacks will be December 16 at the Community Arts Center. Please be prepared to read from a provided script. If you receive a callback, you will be informed of your call time, role(s) reading for, and audition material(s) in advance.
Actors of all ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition for our entire season!
Synopsis:
Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again.
