Announcing auditions for Kernersville Little Theatre's production of:Murder on the Orient Express

Monday and Tuesday, Dec 16 and Dec 17. 6:30-8:30PM
Possible Callbacks on Wed, Dec 18
Location: KLT Rehearsal Space (downstairs area of Salvation Army/Old Library building in Kernersville)
First Cast Meeting/Read Through. Thursday, Dec 19
Rehearsals will begin Monday, Jan 6th
Rehearsals to be M-F within hours of 6:30-9, with possible weekends depending on cast need so be sure to bring your calendar with you for Auditions.
Show dates February 21-23 and Feb 28-March 2

Many of Characters have accents. Not necessary for auditions, but if you feel you can do an accent, please feel free to do so.
Character Descriptions:
Head Waiter: from Turkey, any age
Detective Poirot- Belgian Detective—40-65 yo. Iconic character. Fastidious, thorough, observant and intelligent. Arrogant and humble. Values intelligence and rule of law
Colonel Arbuthnot – Scottish 30’s. Military man, used to being obeyed without questions. Strong, charismatic. Has a temper
Mary Debenham – English 20-30. Governess. Certain sadness about her, and also secrets. Having secret affair with Arbuthnot
Mrs. Helen Hubbard –American 45-60. Gregarious, loud and obnoxious busybody. Married couple of times.
Hector McQueen – American 25-35. Nervous character that seems anxious. Talks too much. New personal assistant to Ratchett
Monsieur Bouc – Belgian 40-54. Owner of Orient Express. Middle aged with youthful vigor. Honest and forthright, puts friends and customers above profit.
Princess Dragomiroff –Russian 60’s - 70’s. Displaced nobility. Determined, arrogant and accustomed to getting her way. Travels a great deal. Strong opinions
Greta Ohlsson – Swedish 30’s. Catholic missionary and baby nurse, serving as companion to Princess. Deeply devout and wants to help small children in Africa
Michel (conductor of Orient Express) – French 40’s. Competent and organized. Handles self well in a crisis, very good at job
Samuel Ratchett –American 35-50. Mobster. Dangerous and unlikable. Full of entitlement and has a quick temper. Forceful.
Countess Andrenyi –Hungarian 25-35. Married to a count, so of nobility class, but also a doctor. Beautiful, charming and intelligent
