AUDITION NOTICE:
Springs Ensemble Theatre and Pikes Peak State College Theatre Department are seeking actors for its upcoming productions ARNIE’S SCARY FUN MIX, an original festival of Halloween-themed microplays, and DOORNAIL, an off-the-wall Christmas Carol adaptation by Steve Emily!
Audition Dates: September 2-4, Callbacks TBD
Time: 6:00 -10:00 pm

ARNIE’S SCARY FUN MIX –
SET is excited to collaborate once again with the Theatre Department at Pikes Peak State College for a collection of short plays, monologues, poetry and dance centered around all things scary!
(Content Advisory: Some scripts (but not all) may contain adult language, monsters, blood, sexual innuendo, depictions of death, mental illness, and abuse, and general themes of fear and horror.)
Available Roles:
Auditions are open to the community! We will be looking for actors of all shapes, sizes, ages and experience to bring these all-original pieces together by local playwrights!
We are also looking for folks interested in building sets, designing, stage management, crew, board ops, ushering, etc. If you would like to be involved behind-the-scenes, please sign up for a slot and plan for a tech interview! Feel free to bring a tech resume and/or pictures of past productions or related hobbies.

DOORNAIL by Steve Emily
In this World Premiere production, the world of Dicken’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL is turned upside down when we learn what happened that Christmas Eve from behind the scenes. This irreverent and definitely not family-friendly production will answer the question: What if Marley and the ghosts were incompetent morons?
(Content Advisory: This production will contain adult language and humor, sexual innuendo, alcohol use, and general stupidity.)
Available Roles:
JACOB – Male presenting, 40-60 (British accent required)
COMSTOCK – Female presenting, 35-60
PAST – Female presenting, 25-45
PRESENT – Male presenting, 35-60
HIPPY BOB - Male presenting, 40-70
ENSEMBLE & VARIOUS CHARACTERS – Any type, 25-70

Performances: December 3 – 20, including Monday, December 14 at 7:30 pm. 2:00 matinees on Sundays (December 13 and December 20)

What to Prepare:
Please prepare the provided sides, but you do not need to memorize them. Auditions will be monologues/scenes from the shows.
Callbacks will be scenes between characters.

The Ensemble characters in DOORNAIL will be singing a Christmas carol in the show, but it doesn’t have to be good – this is NOT a musical, you just need to be able to carry a tune. Barely.
