Get ready to join the merry band of Robin Hood in "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood," a hilarious and action-packed comedy that turns the classic legend on its head.
We're looking for energetic young actors aged 8-14 to bring this zany version of Sherwood Forest to life. In this frantically funny, Monty Pythonesque retelling, there is a wide range of wacky characters, from the swashbuckling Robin Hood himself to the oddly skin-obsessed damsel-in-distress, a bowling-enthusiast Sheriff of Nottingham, and even spoon-wielding Merry Men.
No prepared material is required for the audition, so just bring your enthusiasm and sense of humor. Students will be asked to perform cold readings from the script with other performers.
