Any experience is nice, even if it was years ago as an elf in an elementary school holiday pageant, but it is not required. Age doesn’t matter either, as long as you can look the character’s age on stage - because in our theatre age is just a matter of make-up! If trying out for a musical, you must be able to carry a tune and dance a bit.
