In this dramatic new play based on George Orwell's 1984, Julia steps out of Winston Smith’s shadow to tell her own story. Set in a society where truth is manufactured and human connection is forbidden, Do it to Julia! follows one woman’s fight to keep her humanity while surviving the crushing machinery of an authoritarian regime.
Date/Time: June 29 & 30, 6 PM – 8 PM
Location: Broom Street Theater, 1119 Williamson St.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. You’re welcome to prepare a short monologue if you’d like, but it’s not required.
Performances are September 11 – 27, 2026.
