Auditions for the Signature Spotlight Concert, "Broadway at the Movies," will take place at the Racine Theatre Guild on Saturday, January 4 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Movie turned musical turned musical movie? When Broadway collides with Tinseltown, anything is possible! When the bright lights of stage explode onto the silver screen, movie magic takes hold and introduces stories and songs to theatre and film lovers alike. With new adaptations, different characters, and extra showstopping numbers, the transformation can breathe new life into these unforgettable shows.
PERFORMANCE DATE: Thursday, February 6 @ 7 p.m.
SOLOISTS
Director Robert Kroes is looking for a diverse group of singers, ages 18 and above, for this cabaret performing as soloists and/or in an ensemble. In addition, one Spotlight Star, a local high schooler, will be featured as part of the concert. No duets for the auditions will be accepted; however, the director may be programming duets for those who are chosen to perform.
Individuals of all levels of experience, ethnicities, and backgrounds are invited to audition. Performers must sign-up for an audition time and should bring sheet music for one selection from a movie musical or musical turned movie.
Be prepared to sing the piece you’d like to perform in keys that best reflect your voice type. Performers must audition as soloists – no duets/trios/quartets. All songs should be performance ready. An accompanist will be provided and no acapella or tracks allowed.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will only take place the week of February 2 – 5, 2025. Performers will be required to attend a coaching with the director prior to the rehearsal process. Coachings will be scheduled based on director/performer availability.
