Show Synopsis
The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life. Avenue Q is a place where puppets are friends, monsters are good, and life lessons are learned.

AUDITIONERS MUST BE THE AGE OF 18 OR OLDER.
All roles are open to anyone regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, class, caste, religion, belief, sex, gender, language, sexual orientation or gender identity. All positions at Conejo Players Theatre are volunteer. We are a non-union theatre. No pay will be given.
Come prepared to read from sides provided.
Please prepare a song audition, 1 minute in length, in your own key. NO PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT WILL BE PROVIDED. Your accompaniment track should be cued to your intended starting point. Our system is compatible with most/all mobile devices, but you may need to send your accompaniment track via text or email at auditions if there are any issues. Please include an MP3 file in your airtable submission.
Rehearsals will generally be 7:30-10 pm Monday through Thursday. Some days may vary to accommodate the theatre’s schedule. Most rehearsals are held at the theatre. Rehearsals begin April 6, 2026. No conflicts will be allowed after May 23, 2026.
