Here’s your chance to learn & get feedback from local theatre standouts Matthew Simpson and Sasha Hildebrand for just $10. On June 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, they’ll lead a workshop at the Longview Community Center.
Please come prepared with a monologue to perform, receive notes, and then perform again. We recommend for you to bring a printed copy of the monologue.
Matthew Simpson is a director and actor with credits spanning the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Theatre Longview, and Kilgore College, where he serves on the theatre faculty. He holds an MFA from the University of Delaware and is a panelist for the Texas Commission on the Arts.
Sasha Hildebrand is a director, actor, and educator who has worked extensively with TL and TSF. Now based in Iowa City, she teaches at Iowa Conservatory, has directed over 45 productions, and holds an MFA from the University of Iowa along with postgraduate training from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
