Audition Format: Cold readings from the script. No prepared monologue is necessary.

Time Commitment: Plan to stay for about an hour.
Available Roles:
Catherine (20s-30s): A young woman who has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father. She is intelligent, fragile, and deeply conflicted about her own future.
Robert (50s-70s): Catherine’s father, a world-renowned mathematician who struggled with mental illness. His presence is felt throughout the play, even in death.
Claire (late 20s-40s): Catherine’s older sister, practical and organized. She is successful but has a strained relationship with Catherine due to their different personalities and priorities.
Hal (20s-40s): A former student of Robert’s and a mathematician himself. He is earnest, kind, and deeply curious, especially about Robert’s work and Catherine’s abilities.

Director Naomi Tiefel has been involved in theater since 2002 and has starred in several productions during that time. In 2023 she directed Calendar Girls at West Bend Theatre Company. In 2021, she directed “Beauty and the Beast” at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School and “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” for Kettle Moraine Playhouse. She has performed for Wisconsin Lutheran College, Peter Quince Performing Company, Acacia Theatre Milwaukee and Kettle Moraine Players. She has bachelor’s degree in communication and theater and a master’s in student personnel administration.
