Acclaimed romance novelist Paul Sheldon wakes up in the home of his “Number One Fan”, Annie Wilkes, after she rescues him from a car crash in the mountains. He finds himself incapacitated and trapped in her secluded home as he tries to find a way to escape.Auditions are open and parts may be cast with actors of any ethnicity.
Please bring a list of all known conflicts through October 6th to your audition.
Audition will be held at Zeiders American Dream Theatre
Monday, July 8, 2024, 7 pm – 10 pm
Tuesday, July 9, 2024, 7 pm – 10 pm
Callbacks, Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 7-10pm
Sides will be provided for those auditioning. You may also bring a prepared monologue (not required). Please ensure your monologue is less than 2 minutes.
Character Descriptions
ANNIE WILKES (Female Presenting, 40s – 50s) Annie seems to be a kind, tender woman who cares deeply for Paul, even if she does seem slightly off. Manipulative, cunning, and hides a deep set and terrifying malice behind her cheery simple façade.
PAUL SHELDON (Male Presenting, Late 30s – Late 50s) He’s thoughtful, if not a touch arrogant, and extremely crafty.
BUSTER (Male Presenting, Late 30s – Late 60s) The sheriff of a nearby town searching for Paul.
